Standing among the surf,
The moon mirrored the spirit on the beach,
Glowing orange with the gift of life.
The waves brushing my legs
Singing a sirens song
Tempting me into the ocean
As the water spun music.
The stars and my family the crowd,
But myself the maestro
As the world glistened within the moon.
I stood there embracing the surf
Feeling the sound blend with heart
While the lights in the sky glistened,
Each note igniting a galaxy laid before me.
Water caressing my body
And the foam belittling the voices around me
It was then that the skies opened
Displaying an orchestra of light
Gracing me with the beauty of their words
Seeding the words I now write into my psyche.
And while I gazed into the abyss, it peered back,
But the dreams of children and elderly alike danced before me
Blessing me with gifts needed to live life.
But I could hear those dearest to me nearby,
Calling me back to the world that I dread
For only within the surf, the stars and the moon,
Do I truly live.
The tides accompanying my heartbeat
Setting me free from the confines of earthly laws.
Flight granted to few,
View of the stars granted to none,
But my past and my present granted me access,
To a utopia past the skies, the darkness.
Time beseached by the grace of my heart,
Leading to a view of the world never before presented,
Until it was broken by those voices I shut out.
The stars and the sky hovering before me
Accepting me as a child in the surf,
True love shown within the glow
But gifts forfeited for those who appreciate it
